‘Gundagardi Karte Ho’: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Alleged Incident in Parliament

In a heated exchange captured on video, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of “hooliganism” following an altercation in the Parliament complex. The incident has sparked controversy, with both sides presenting differing accounts.

The viral footage shows Dubey accusing Gandhi of pushing BJP MP and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi during a scuffle near the Parliament entrance. “What Rahul, what? You indulge in gundagardi (hooliganism)… You pushed down an elderly person,” Dubey can be heard shouting.

According to the BJP, Rahul Gandhi allegedly shoved Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and BJP MP Mukesh Rajput while trying to enter the Parliament. In response, Gandhi defended himself, claiming that BJP members were blocking his entry and trying to intimidate him.

Gandhi told reporters, “I was trying to enter the Parliament through the designated entrance when BJP MPs attempted to stop, push, and threaten me. They are trying to distract from the real issue. We are here to protect the Constitution and Ambedkar ji’s legacy.”

The BJP dismissed Gandhi’s allegations, insisting there was enough space for everyone to move freely. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal stated that BJP MP Mukesh Rajput sustained injuries in the altercation, while Union Minister Pralhad Joshi accused Gandhi of unprovoked aggression. “The truth will be revealed when CCTV footage is reviewed,” Joshi said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly reached out to BJP MPs Pralhad Joshi and Mukesh Rajput to inquire about their well-being. The Prime Minister expressed concern over the incident and condemned any form of misconduct in the Parliament complex.

The scuffle has drawn sharp criticism from both parties, with Congress accusing the BJP of suppressing dissent and the BJP alleging unruly behavior by the Opposition.

As the incident continues to dominate headlines, calls for reviewing CCTV footage to clarify the sequence of events have grown louder. The issue has further deepened the divide between the ruling party and the Opposition during the ongoing session of Parliament.
