Reliance is going to put more than Rs. 50,000 Crore into Assam over the next five years. In his speech at Advantage Assam 2.0, Mukesh Ambani talked about how Reliance is committed to the growth of Assam.
“Guwahati,” in the Indian state of Assam, on February 25 (ANI): RIL, a company that works with Reliance, will invest over 50,000 crore in Assam over the next five years. This was said by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and MD of RIL, at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment & Infrastructure Summit 2025 in Guwahati.

Reliance has put more money into Assam.
Ambani said at the meeting that Reliance is still committed to Assam’s long-term economic growth, especially in the digital and technology areas. He said that over the next few years, the company will spend more than 50,000 crore, which is four times what it is now, in the state.
Ambani talked about how Reliance had promised Rs. 5,000 crore at the 2018 meeting and said that the company has already invested more than Rs. 12 billion in the state.
Assam’s Move Towards Digital
Ambani talked about how Reliance wants to make Assam “tech-ready and AI-ready.” He said that going digital for the state was a “noble and patriotic mission.”
He said the state is now “2G-mukt and 5G-yukt,” which means it is “free from 2G and empowered with 5G.” He was talking about Jio’s role in Assam’s telecom infrastructure. He told them how thankful he was that everyone in Assam was using Jio’s services.
What PM Modi Can Do to Help Assam Grow
Ambani said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was responsible for Assam’s change and that the Advantage Assam theme shows how quickly the state has grown under Modi’s leadership. He named four main benefits that Modi has brought to Assam:
1. Why Assam is at the centre of India’s growth plan
Assam and the Northeast are very important to India’s growth plan because of PM Modi. “You have visited the region over 70 times—more than any other Prime Minister in history,” he said.

‘Act East, Act Fast, Act First’ The Act East, Act Fast, and Act First strategy was praised by Mantra Ambani, who said it had made Assam a growth hub for Southeast Asia and East Asia.
3. The Revolution in Connectivity
Assam has become more connected to the rest of India through digital, mental, and real means in a way that has never been seen before.
4. Growth Driven by Technology
Ambani said that Assam, which is already known around the world as a “tea paradise,” would become a “technological paradise” in the next few decades.
