In his address, the Home Minister said, “Till now mother tongue was not given any place in the CAPF recruitment exam, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that our youth will now be able to take the CAPF exam in all the languages ​​​​included in the Eighth Schedule, including Tamil.” He requested the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to take steps towards making medical and engineering courses available in Tamil language as soon as possible.
He said that this step will not only promote mother tongues, but the youth who take the exam in Tamil language will also get equal opportunities.
Important role of CISF
Amit Shah praised the achievements of CISF and said, “In the last 56 years, CISF has played an important role in the progress of the country and the security of the people. Be it industrial development, trade, tourism or any other research center, the security of these institutions cannot be imagined without CISF.”
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the goal of making India the third largest economy in the world by 2027 and ‘Developed India’ by 2047. CISF will play an important role in fulfilling these objectives.
Tribute to brave soldiers
The Home Minister said, “I pay tribute to the 127 martyred CISF jawans who sacrificed their lives on the altar of duty. On this occasion, 22 jawans were honored, including 10 jawans were awarded President’s Police Medal and 10 were awarded gallantry medals. Six projects worth Rs 88 crore were inaugurated for the welfare of CISF personnel.”
He further said that in 2019 it was decided that this ceremony should not be limited to Delhi only, but it should be organized in different parts of the country.
Praised the cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu
Amit Shah also praised the cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu. He said that CISF ensures the safe movement of at least 1 crore people every day. Ever since CISF has taken over the security of airports, no major security lapse has been reported.
He also informed that the security of the new Parliament is also being handled by CISF. Apart from this, more than 70 lakh passengers are traveling safely in the Delhi Metro every day. Under maritime security, CISF is ensuring the security of about 250 ports.

Massive recruitment under CAPF
The Home Minister informed that more than 1 lakh youth have been recruited under CAPF in the last one year. More than 14,000 posts have been recruited so far in 2024, and the recruitment process is on for 50,000 posts.
