Match Characteristics
- Delhi Capitals Women against UP Warriorz Women, eighth match
- Date and time: 19:30 IST Saturday, February 22, 2025
- venue: Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium
Match Foreview
Less than 72 hours following an exciting match in Vadodara, Delhi Capitals (DC), and UP Warriorz (UPW), Bengaluru is ready to see once more clashes between both teams. As they start the second leg of WPL 2025, both teams will be focussing on two vital aspects but also attending to their own issues. UPW will play three; DC has a packed calendar with four games coming.
Lead by Deepti Sharma, UP Warriorz clearly has problems. Currently lacking a single win, they are at the bottom of the points table and battle with lost opportunities and fielding blunders. Their fielding problems from last season still bother them; even their seasoned international players have not been at their best.
DC has not been most dominant even though they have won two of three games. Narrow defeats over Mumbai Indians would not have given UPW the confidence they so yearns for. Having four of their next five games in Bengaluru, DC will be eager to get momentum and land a third consecutive final spot.
Pitch & Conditions
Fresh and batting-friendly, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium ground should provide plenty of runs. Both clubs participated in previous season here, hence their perspective on the circumstances will be fair. The secret will be how effectively the players use themselves to maximise this high-scoring arena.
